Enhancing sensory features through pet owner feedback
Alongside the rigorous scientific development of the DOUXO® SPA products, we created “Dermatodog,” an online community of 100 pet owners (50 French and 50 American) who participated in a six-month product evaluation. These highly engaged owners tested various commercial products and prototypes of our formulations. Their feedback helped us craft an ideal sensory experience, focusing on scent, texture, lather, and rinsing.
Our formulation experts incorporated their input, selecting a hypoallergenic coconut-vanilla fragrance with a carefully adjusted intensity—pleasant to use while respecting pets' sensitive skin and sense of smell.

Packaging Designed with Pet Owners
The “Dermatodog” community also contributed to developing easy-to-use packaging. Pet owners shared their habits, challenges, and needs regarding topical skin care application. Based on their insights, we designed nine packaging prototypes in collaboration with designers. Community members voted on their favourites, ultimately selecting the new DOUXO® SPA product bottles.
